Public Invited to Comment on Proposed Allocation Plan

BISMARCK, ND – The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) is inviting the public to comment on a proposed allocation plan for the North Dakota Housing Incentive Fund (HIF) during a public hearing to be held at 10:00 a.m. (CDT), Friday, May 10.

The hearing will be held at the NDHFA office, 2624 Vermont Ave., Bismarck, ND.

The 63rd Legislative Assembly recently reauthorized the multifamily housing development program directing $15.4 million in general fund dollars to HIF and giving NDHFA, the program administrator, the authority to issue $20 million in state tax credits to further capitalize the fund. The legislative priorities for the $35.4 million are affordable rental units for essential service workers and low- to moderate-income households.

The public is invited to present either written or oral comments at the plan’s hearing. Those who do not attend the hearing may submit written comments to NDHFA’s Planning and Housing Development Division Director Jolene Kline at or NDHFA, PO Box 1535, Bismarck, ND, 58502-1535 by 5 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, May 9.
